Lake Draw Down November 01, 2026

Cowan Lake State Park announced the planned reconstruction of the dam at the west end of Lake Cowan. As a result, the Lake will not be available for sailing in 2027.

CLSA

CLSA is committed to the state park, club, members, and programs. Plans for social events, education, and sailing are underway, reflecting CLSA’s commitment to preserving our longstanding community. As Cowan Lake is upgraded, we will also improve the club and grounds by making needed infrastructure repairs.

> Our 2026 Racing Schedule remains the same, with Races until October 24.

> By October 31, 2026, all members should remove their sailboats & kayaks from their lifts/racks.

(The Lake draw down begins November 1 and is planned for a drop of 2’ daily. Total reduction of 13.5’)

> The Board of Governors is dedicated to planning programs for 2026, 2027 and beyond and we want to hear from our members.

 For the remainder of the season, we will host a Q&A at the clubhouse every Sunday at 11:30 am. If you have ideas or questions, please contact a BOG member.
