Independence Day Party at the club

Pete Japikse | Published on 6/18/2020
Hey Cowan Lake Sailors

It is party time at the club!

Join us for the season grand opening Independence Day picnic at the sailing club after racing on July 4!

That's right, we have found a way to celebrate and have fun with an honest-to-goodness Hog roast for our July 4th picnic dinner at the club.

Dinner will include barbecued pork (and buns), BBQ sauce, hot sauce, Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Iced Tea & Lemonade and Cookies for dessert. All for $15 per person. (7 & under are free).  All items will be served so that we remain in compliance with current health codes and keep everyone safe.

If you want drinks other than Iced Tea and Lemonade, please feel free to bring your own.

To remain compliant with the current ban on buffets, there will not be an appetizer table - so if you need some, bring some for yourself.

And for the music - Commodore / Maestro Dan Adams will be spinning the discs on the sound system. He says you are welcome to bring your own favorite digital tracks and contribute if you like.

If you plan on racing, plan on staying for the dinner!

And if you are not planning on racing, plan on coming up to the club and joining us for the hog roast!

Dinner will be served between 5:30 & 6:00 (All you BBQ masters know that dinner is ready when it is ready, and not one minute sooner!)

VERY IMPORTANT:  Please register on the website as soon as possible - our caterer needs to know if he should get a baby hog or a daddy hog. If you do not preregister and plan to join us, you might be the reason that a baby hog gets sacrificed for dinner!

The event is all set up on our web site for your registration - you can pay online or pay at the door, whichever makes you happier.
