CLSA PRO Bruce Kitchen sent the following email to CLSA membership concerning recent updates to the CLSA Sailing Instructions:

Dear Fellow Sailors,
This e-mail is an official notice to all active members of CLSA to advise that the sailing instructions for 2018 have been posted.
Please note there have been several revisions made and approved by the Permanent Race Committee.
The majority of changes are minor and are being done to standardize our race instructions based on the suggested format in the Racing Rules of Sailing. For the most part we have eliminated redundant verbiage, statements that are defined by the RRS, or statements that are not related to specific racing requirements.
The biggest change I think you will find is in the scoring section. The PRC and Executive Committee has expanded the prizes available for 2018. This year we will be awarding a trophy to ALL series and season qualifiers. This means more loot being given out to recognize the efforts of all of us who obtain qualifying requirements.
