Sail Camp 2018
CLSA junior camp registration is open!  The sailing and fun happens between June 11-15 with set up on Sunday, June 10.   Sailing groups include Opti beginner and advanced, Laser beginner and advanced, and 420’s. Camp information and registration can be found here.

Recruiting new Opti sailors is a high priority.  Word of mouth is our most effective marketing, so please spread the word.  We have Optis available for purchase or loan.  Camp is member-only, but even with a youth membership, it remains one of the most affordable camps around.  Participation is capped at 50 sailors.

Fundraising
Many, many thanks to Steve Tsuchiya for donating three gorgeous original photographs of the J boats racing in Newport, RI this summer. This terrific fundraiser raised over $1,000 for the youth program.

Program Goals
In 2017, CLSAT acquired a Whaler which proved a reliable, effective and comfortable safety boat.  Additionally, we continued work with the club leadership on shoreline infrastructure.  The new sailing-themed playground provides munchkins of all ages added lake-side fun. Thank you, Andy for the design and build!

The 2018 Goals Program include increasing the number of Opti sailors.  Our second goal is to travel as a group to at least two regattas.
