FLYING SCOT® FLEET ONE
FLYING PIG REGATTA
May 31 and June 1, 2025

- Rules: This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined by the current edition of the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
- Eligibility:This regatta is solely for Flying Scots
- Registration may be by E-mail to regatta chair Karla Thaxton.E-mail address Karlathaxton@icloud.com or may be completed at the regatta site beginning May 31 at 10:00.Please call or email intent to participate to allow for meal planning.There will be both a Championship and Challenger division.There will also be a Parent/Child Championship. Sailing Instructions will be available to registrants at the completion of registration.

5. Schedule: Friday, May 30 – 16:00 Club open for early arrivals.
Chili available for out of towners.
Saturday, May 31 – 10:00 Registration, check in.
12:00 Competitors meeting
13:00 Warning signal first race. Race 2-3 to follow.
18:30 – Dinner
Sunday, June 1 – 09:00 Warning signal for race 4. Race 5 to follow.
6. Measurement: Boats and sails must conform to the Official Plan. Each boat must carry equipment required by FSSA Specification Article S-V.2 (Racing Restrictions), and State of Ohio DNR requirements.
7. Courses to be Sailed: The courses to be sailed will be described in the Sailing Instructions.
8. Scoring: The low-point scoring system of RRS Appendix A2 will be used, except that there will be no throw-outs. 5 races are scheduled, of which 1 must be completed to constitute a series.
9. Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 boats in both divisions.

11. Liability: Competitors utilize the facilities of CLSA entirely at their own risk. Neither CLSA, Flying Scot Fleet 1, nor any of the committees or appointed individuals volunteering for any phase of this regatta accepts any liability for damage, material nor personal injury suffered during the races or at any time
12. Responsibility of a Yacht: It shall be the sole responsibility of the skipper or owner of each yacht to decide whether or not to start or continue to race. A yacht which retires from the race shall notify a Race Committee boat before leaving the course area if possible or a regatta Official immediately after arriving on shore.
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) Rule 4, “Decision to Race.” The Organizing Authority will not accept any liability for material damage, personal injury, or death sustained in connection with, prior to, during, or after the regatta. I agree to abide by the RRS and all other rules that govern this event.
