Winter Dinner a Success

Published on 1/22/2017
Vice Commodore, Carolyn Price, played host to over 110 members, families and guests at the Winter Dinner on January 20th. The banquet was held at Receptions in Loveland, our site for the last several years. The food was delicious, the drinks were plentiful and the fellowship was grand. Our guest speaker was Dawn Riley. As CEO and Captain of America True, Dawn was the first woman to manage an America's Cup sailing team. She is also the first American, man or woman, to have raced on three America's Cup teams and two Whitbread Round-the-World Race (now Volvo Ocean Race) sailing teams. After these, she was the general manager of the French Team, Areva Challenge, her fourth America’s Cup challenge. She shared with us the role woman have played in the "big boy's" world of large boat racing.

There was a Split-the-Pot raffle to benefit CLSA-T.  Howard Miller was the big winner, and he graciously donated his share to CLSA-T.  Thanks, Howard!

Next year's event is scheduled for January 20th again.  Don't miss it.
